Although as I explained, telling a 14-year-old awkward/nerdy/puberty-ridden/non-girly daughter that you're down with her liking girls can be a shock to said daughter - especially if she's been carving Fox Mulder dolls out of soap in her bedroom and secretly pining after boys in her class...but is far too funny looking to ever own up to such things. Maybe wait until she's 15 and those eyebrows have been plucked.

But that said, all parentals should be OK with whoever their children choose to love. That goes for straight kids too! It hurts when you're hyper-critical of our partners - whatever sex/race/etc etc they may be. Not that MY parents have ever threatened to deport any of my boyfriends...
