funk

I'm in a drawing funk. The comic above is totally sub-par and I feel awful about it. There are 2 things that are contributing to this. One is the way I work and my work space. I don't have a studio or a desk or a drafting table so I sit on the couch and work like a hunched over old lady with a gnarled claw for a hand. It's awful! I work out of my sketchbook so my lettering sucks because I have no control! So today I resolved I'm getting a drafting table and making myself a mini-studio. Bogey's megatron-of-a-desk takes up what was to be my 'studio', but I'll make it happen. Don't worry y'all. We're gonna get some quality control up on this biznatch.

Secondly, I may actually be slightly burnt-out from drawing non-stop at work so much. In the last month I had to personally crank out 100+ rendered drawings for our crazy project. No excuse right? Even with both of these circumstances, I should be able to shit gold nuggets of comics even if I was in a cave in Afghanistan forced to draw with my own spit.
